MAT – Arquitetura e Especialidades, Lda. was formalized on January 24, 2019 and covers the integration, with the consequent transfer and continuity of the extensive curriculum, recognized credibility, demanding rigor, high professionalism and vast presence in the market of Macedo Arquitectos, founded in 1997, and Reverso Arquitetura, created in 2004. The scope of this business strategy of merger and future was extended to the corporate structure that includes long-time employees of Macedo Arquitetos and Reverso Arquitetura, as well as flexibility publicly-held statutory company for the short and medium term to integrate, by merit, permanent employees of MAT.

Privileged for being “born” with 23 years of continuous professional activity, even in periods of adverse market conditions, intrinsic to MAT is the signature in public and private works, carried out on the nine islands of the Azores archipelago and on the Portuguese mainland, through the authorship architectural, urban planning and engineering projects, as well as inspections of works and consultancy in the preparation of contracting processes and contractual management of works and technical expertise.

The diversity of public and private work extends from housing programs, to airport buildings, aerospace facilities, geothermal and energy storage plants, commercial surfaces, day care centers, kindergartens, schools, sports facilities, health centers and clinics, services and tourism, as well as urban planning and landscaping, including infrastructure.
